Anyone have experience/advice with tenants on ODSP?

Hi there,

I have a potential tenant who is on Ontario Disability Support Program.

I'm hesitant because I got burned by a previous tenant who was on social assistance and never paid a penny after first and last month. Got her evicted but can't garnish social assistance....

I have read a bit regarding Pay Direct options with ODSP if things go south...seems to be a bit more re-assuring.

Has anyone had any experience with this? Can I legally contact the prospective tenant's case worker to discuss the application and validate their ODSP payments?

Appreciate any comments or advice.
