Land is also something that you can chose your cycle time. For those of you willing to wait there is an interesting investment opportunity coming up at least according to the New York Times.

Of course with land you sometimes have to make a choice between personal use or resale like my family is chewing on now. Do you choose 10 minutes from the new 407 exit or a spectacular georgian bay island formerly owned by the worlds biggest island seller.

The earlier history with the Georgian Bay island is even more spectacular involving one of Northern Ontarios biggest bootlegers who apparent knew big Al (Capone) personally and had a run in with members of this famous family. (Their relatives allegedly burned one of his ships which is beached on the island.)
