All landlords will be required by law to provide every tenant applicant a written explanation of why they were refused. If a tenant believes the reason is against code grounds, this will be evidence enough to file a complaint where landlords will need to explain themselves in front of a judge!

-some "advocates" are calling for this change already.

But if it should ever happen, that will most certainly be the end of private landlords.

That will be the final nail that is needed in the residential housing coffin.

They don't get it .... Jealousy has blinded these people into believing all landlords are rich. They don't understand that capital flows to the point of least resistence. The more rules they make, the less supply of housing. Crappier housing at higher prices. Acivists will get what they deserve. Corporate slums and high end condos will be all that will remain. I am getting out so I won't care. Enjoy..

you completely miss the point...........small landlords can not afford financially to meet the ohrc's duty to accomodate.

small landlords will have to exit this sector.

All your trickle down economic theories have been debunked. I'm looking through some newspapers right now and see lots of rental properties. The problem is landlords discriminate.

Nooo....Communism and socialism has been debunked. Trickle down ecomomics seems to be the answer, America is in a slump because Obama is steering the country away from it. The problem with socialism is that you always run out of other peoples money to spend.
